Kelite floating ball valves are manufactured according to BS 5351 specification, tested to BS 56755/API 598. The construction is side entry with full port or with reduced port. All valves can be supplied with lever, gear or actuator at client's demands.
1. Fire Safe
Designed and tested to BS 5146/API 607 to assure the operation available in case of fire.
2. Antistatic
A metallic contact is always granted between ball and stem/body to discharge eventual statics build-up during service.
3. Locking Device
To avoid misoperation, the valve may be locked by open or close position locking device with popular padlock design. It's very important to lock the valve to prevent the valve from being operated by error, especially when the valve is installed in field or the valve should not be opened or closed during technical process.
4. Blowout Resistance of Stem
To prevent stem from being blow out by the pressure entrapped in valve cavity when the fluid flows through the valve, the lower part of stem is incorporated with a raised collar.
5. The Reliable Seat Sealing
Floating ball valve uses the flexible sealing ring construction. When the medium pressure is low, the touching face between the sealing ring and ball is little to make the larger sealing comparative pressure to make sure the sealing. When the medium pressure is higher with the flexible distortion of the sealing ring, the touching area becomes larger between the sealing ring and ball, so the sealing ring can endure larger medium thrust and avoid damage.
6. The design of the top flange for actuator
The top flange with yoke and mounting plate is convenient to install the gear, electric and pneumatic actuator.
7. Full port or reduced part
Full port or reduced port can be selected acc. To request. Full bore valves have the same bore as the inner bore of the pipeline, convenient for PIG service.
8. Extended stem for underground
For the valves to be installed underground, the stem can be extended including all the relevant pipes, drain, vent and emergency sealant lines to be attached to the stem extension at the need of the installation or operation.
9. Extended stem for Low temperature
To avoid the valve's packing to be damaged in the low temperature and resulted in the bad sealing, the stem can be extended at the demands.
